DALLAS, Texas. March 7, 2014 — ROKA Sports, Inc. is pleased to announce a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Vineman, Inc. the promoters of the multi-race Vineman triathlon series in Northern California, which includes Vineman 70.3, the Full Vineman, Barb's Race, and the Vineman Aquabike.
Vineman organizer Amy Latourette said, "We are very excited to partner with ROKA. Although a relatively new company, they certainly have been on our radar and clearly have a great product with the likes of Laura Bennett, Meredith Kessler, Jesse Thomas and Tim Reed already wearing ROKA wetsuits." She added, "And with the recent addition to the ROKA family of some of the biggest names in the sport, such as Javier Gómez, Gwen Jorgensen, Melissa Hauschildt and Rachel Joyce, 2014 is their year to really make their mark in the sport of triathlon. We are proud to align ourselves with ROKA and really look forward to a long-term partnership."
ROKA's VP of Sales & Marketing Ryan Dolan said, "We're thrilled to partner with Vineman. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Full Vineman, the oldest independently run triathlon in the continental United States and we couldn't be more excited to support Vineman. For many triathletes, Vineman races represent the best of what triathlon has to offer: iconic destinations, a cult-like following, incredible competition, and some of the best run races on the circuit. In addition to operating their races, Vineman engages the surrounding community throughout the entire year, with training sessions and practice swims at Johnson's Beach." He added, "As a developing brand, Vineman offers a unique opportunity to interact directly with race participants at each race through swim demonstrations, expo clinics and athlete receptions. It's a great organization and we're glad to be a part of it. Stay tuned to http://www.vineman.com and our social media sites for the chance to win a free race entry to either the Full Vineman or Vineman 70.3 courtesy of ROKA."
ABOUT ROKA SPORTS
ROKA is a performance multisport brand that was founded in 2011 by two former All-American swimmers from Stanford University, who, after being frustrated by the wetsuit offerings on the market, set out to make the fastest wetsuit on the planet. After two years of product development, the ROKA team launched their patent-pending Maverick wetsuit, Viper swimskin and SIM short training line in March 2013.
In their first season, ROKA products saw widespread acceptance by elite and developing swimmers alike, and ROKA pro athletes finished first out of the water at the Ironman World Championship, the ITU WTS Grand Final, the Hy-Vee 5150 Elite Cup Championship, several Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races, and more. ROKA athletes kicked of 2014 with a bang, winning Challenge Philippines, Panama 70.3, Ironman New Zealand and finishing First Out of the Water or making the podium at several other races. ROKA is based in Dallas, Texas with employees in California and Colorado.
